[Preview] Four Fall Flavors of the Shamisen, a Japanese Three-String
Japan Society, a Japanese cultural center just one block from the UN, is celebrating a three-stringed traditional instrument called the shamisen this fall with four distinct performances. Yoko Shioya, the artistic director at Japan Society, has curated the events to bring together an eclectic spread of traditional, avant-garde and pop for their community to experience the range the shamisen has to offer.
